Relifing

I met Brook Busse in the spring of 1997 in her dorm room in the Hillcrest Residence Hall in Iowa City on the University of Iowa campus.  She roomed with an old high school buddy of a really good friend of mine.  We had a few funny conversations but we were never close.  I don’t really hate it when my friends become successful, and I think it’s awesome that Diablo Cody won the Oscar she deserved for writing an incredible original movie that made tens of millions of people laugh hard this year, and touched them, too.  She’s not the only superhero I knew in Iowa City, but she was one of them, and it’s awesome to meet so many superheros in a few years time.  I hope you’re not the last one that jumps out of an issue of Rolling Stone at me, but I’m glad  you did.
